Ledger, a leading hardware wallet manufacturer, has confirmed a sophisticated phishing campaign targeting its users. Fraudsters are sending physical letters adorned with the company’s logo, falsely claiming a "mandatory security update" to extract recovery phrases.

The scam was exposed by cryptocurrency influencer Jacob Canfield, who shared images of the counterfeit letters. These documents instruct recipients to scan a QR code and enter their seed phrase—a direct gateway to wallet compromise.

This incident highlights the evolving tactics of crypto scammers, who now combine traditional mail with digital deception. The use of physical addresses suggests potential data reuse from previous breaches, marking a concerning escalation in fraud techniques.
